About E.M.H.A.

E.M.H.A. (Eastern Michigan Hockey Association)

E.M.H.A. has been dedicated to youth hockey in the Greater Flint area for the past 35 years.

The Eastern Michigan Hockey Association has produced Hockey Players that have advanced to higher levels of Hockey, including College, Junior A, Semi-Pros, Pros, and Gold Medal Olympians. This is a feat that E.M.H.A. is very, very proud of.

Every Spring, E.M.H.A. puts on an Academic Banquet honoring those youth hockey players within E.M.H.A., that have giving 110% to the game that they love to play. E.M.H.A. also gives numerous Scholarships to deserving recipients. Amongst the Awards and Scholorships given are:

Academic Icelanders - Gold - Silver Star Patch Pins - Given for 3.0 GPA or Higher

Gale M. Cronk - Mite Award - Given to Mite A or AA MVP

Nick Owen - Squirt Award - Given to Squirt A or AA MVP

Don Morrow Memorial Pee Wee Award - Given to Pee Wee A or AA - MVP

Jack Vivian Memorial Bantam Award - Given to Bantam A or AA - MVP

Ken Morrow Sportsmanship Midget Award - Given to Midget A or AA - MVP

Kelly G. Cronk - Junior Award - Given to Junior MVP

Lee A. Hagon - Women's Award - Given to Female MVP

Founder's Award - Goalie Award - Given to Goalie MVP of any age

E.M.H.A. President's Award - Given to Team Manager of the Year

Doug Manchak - Coach of the Year Award

Bob Perani's Academic Team Award
